Recently ranked Tier 1 in Bloomberg’s rankings, EGing PV was founded in Changzhou, China in 2003. Their annual solar production is about 2GW from their single manufacturing unit in Changzhou with a market capitalization of 4.62BN Chinese Yen.
Although their supply is widespread in many parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, they do not have a physical presence elsewhere, except in Changzhou. Because of that, they have a limited penetration in the Australian markets.
If a company is ranked Tier 1, it has good stability in terms of its finances. It is not a measure of quality. It is simply related to bankability.

Most EGing solar panels are Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved. Presently 4 major categories of EGing residential are half-cut mono modules, standard mono modules, half-cut poly modules and standard poly modules.
Half-cut series reduces the energy loss from resistance. They also have a higher efficiency rating upto almost 20.97%, mono panels being more efficient than the poly ones.
Half-cut technology implies splitting a cell into two. This allows for maximum sunlight to be captured even on cloudy days, thus getting the best out of these panels.
These are a little less efficient than their Half-cut alternatives. Their Standard ‘C’ series was introduced in the market over a year ago. These also come in mono and poly variants.
The ‘High Efficiency’ HE series uses the PERC technology with a maximum efficiency of 20.58%. These have rather larger solar cells for more total watt ratings. They have both 60 and 72 cell modules available.
EGing offers a 15-year product and 25-year performance warranty for Australian customers.
You will need your installer or the authorized dealer to claim your warranty. In case that is not possible, you will have to directly contact EGing PV. They don’t have an office in Australia and the website has listed Chinese contacts only. Although EGing now has an Australian website in place for warranty issues.
If you receive valid notice from EGing PV involving replacement or return, you can ship the products to the authorized address. Shipping costs will be reimbursed upon approval.
