Panel fundamentals

Choosing the right panels for your property as per the requirement is quite significant

There are 2 types of panels, polycrystalline or monocrystalline.

  • Monocrystalline solar panels have solar cells made from a single crystal of silicon, while Polycrystalline solar panels have solar cells made from many silicon fragments melted together.
  • Both mono and poly work good in the Australian climate. So, it doesn’t matter whether you get Mono or poly, what matters is, you buy a good brand that will last 25+ years installed on your roof.

The other type that has come to light is thin-film solar panels. They are more lightweight and flexible than typical silicon panels as they are made from a variety of materials that tend to be more lightweight and flexible than typical silicon panels.
